Paatal Lok remains one of the most cherished Indian web series, with its second season garnering widespread praise from both audiences and critics. However, according to Jaideep Ahlawat, who portrays the lead character Haathi Ram Chaudhary, your favorite series might not return for another season. In an insightful conversation with ABP Ent Live, Ahlawat expressed his belief that Haathi Ram's journey may be over. 

No new season for Paatal Lok? Ahalwat thinks so

When asked if Haathi Ram would need a new partner in crime after the death of Ansari, Jaideep responded, “Ask this question to writer Sudeep Sharma, because meri majburi hai wo jo likhenge mujhe wo nibhana hai. Main bas wait karta hun unki kalam sey kya nikalta hai aur phir main usme kood jaata hu. But as we know haathiram, if he says mera ho gya main chhod raha hu, ye mera manna hai, I might be wrong I dont think he is coming back, he is gone for good (It's my compulsion—whatever he writes, I have to live up to it. I just wait to see what comes out of his pen, and then I jump into it. But as we know, Haathiram, if he says, 'I'm done, I'm leaving,' I might be wrong, but I don't think he's coming back. He's gone for good)." 

Haathi Ram one of the best-written characters

Jaideep Ahlawat also shared his admiration for Haathi Ram as one of the best-written characters in Indian television. “I genuinely agree. Sudeep sharma ki kalam ney ek sadharan sey actor ko asadharan bana diya, ye uski kalam ka jaadu hai nahin to hum bohat saare actors hai jo accha kaam karte hain lekin kuch kirdar aise hotey hain ki jo itni khubsoorti sey likhe jaate hain ki aap na chahte huey bhi unke pyaar mein padoge. Chahe aap usko karne wale ho ya dekhne wale ho (Sudeep Sharma's pen has turned an ordinary actor into an extraordinary one; it's the magic of his writing. Otherwise, there are many actors who do great work, but some characters are written in such a beautiful way that, whether you're playing the role or watching it, you can't help but fall in love with them).” 

Currently streaming on Prime Video, Paatal Lok Season 2 also features Ishwak Singh, Gul Panag, Tillotama Shome, and Nagesh Kukunoor.
