Neetu Kapoor Feels Jaya Bachchan ‘Purposely’ Gets Angry At Paparazzi: 'I Feel It's Some Mili Bhagat'

In the recent episode of 'Koffee with Karan', Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman showcased remarkable camaraderie, opening up with excitement and candor.

New Delhi: In the recent episode of 'Koffee with Karan', Neetu Kapoor and Zeenat Aman showcased remarkable camaraderie, opening up with excitement and candor, and unveiling fascinating stories from their illustrious careers.

The conversation delved into various intriguing topics, from Zeenat's decision to join Instagram to anecdotes about the vibrant party scene during their prime, along with the challenges journalists posed to celebrities in those days.

Karan Johar steered the discussion towards the perceived rivalry among leading actresses of their time, given the industry's male-dominated landscape. Contrary to expectations, both Neetu and Zeenat shared that warmth, not rivalry, defined their relationships with contemporaries like Rekha, Hema Malini, and Jaya Bachchan.

Rekha, a mutual friend of Neetu and Zeenat, was remembered fondly.  Neetu said she did not know how the friendship began. "She was a very friendly girl and would just drop by without informing me,” says Neetu and adds that Rekha was funny too. Neetu followed this with a delightful impression of the Zeenat at a temple. Further, Karan and Neetu provided an impression of Hema Malini, highlighting her candor and honesty.

Neetu also reflected on her early days in the industry. Neetu said that she was young and clueless about what was going on. “By the time I could understand what acting was all about, I got married. I did everything “khel khel mein” (in fun),” she told Karan.

The trio also delved into the evolution of paparazzi culture, with Karan suggesting that it's only Neetu alongside Jaya Bachchan, who engages in full-fledged conversations with the paparazzi.

Neetu joked saying, "I feel Jaya ji does it on purpose. She’s not actually like that.”

Talking about it, Neetu said: "I feel Jaya ji does it on purpose, woh ek baar ho gaya na, now she does it. She is not like that at all."

Replying to the 'Kabhi Kabhie' actress, KJo said: "Not at all, she is so warm and lovely. They get so scared of her, she enters and just says bas hogaya. I think they also enjoy it now."

Neetu added: "She enjoys it, they enjoy it. I feel it's some mili bhagat."

'Koffee with Karan' season 8 streams on Disney+ Hotstar.
