Filmmaker and producer Karan Johar is among its fans and recently shared a message on social media expressing his admiration for the series.
In a long heartfelt note, Karan Johar praised ‘Bandish Bandits season 2’, describing it as "Soup for the Soul" and extending his congratulations to the entire cast and crew.
The filmmaker praised ‘Bandish Bandits’ for their fresh take on the age-old conflict between classical Indian music and modern styles like hip-hop and K-pop. By calling it "a gharana of love, anguish, and tradition," he revealed the profound emotional and intellectual resonance he had when seeing the performance.

The series was created by Amritpal Singh Bindra and Anand Tiwari, who also directed the series under Leo Media Collective production. The new season features a stellar ensemble cast, including Ritwik Bhowmik, Shreya Chaudhry, Sheeba Chaddha, Atul Kulkarni, Rajesh Tailang, and Kunaal Roy Kapur.
