Mumbai Police have summoned actor Ajaz Khan and Vibhu Agarwal, the owner of streaming platform ULLU, in connection with a controversial reality show 'House Arrest', which has sparked outrage over vulgar portrayal of women.

House Arrest show host Ajaz Khan summoned by police

The Amboli police station has asked both Khan and Agarwal to appear and provide their statements after an FIR was filed against them for broadcasting obscene and offensive content. The show, hosted by Ajaz Khan — a former Bigg Boss contestant — has drawn sharp criticism after a video clip went viral, showing contestants being instructed to enact sexually suggestive positions.

In the footage, Khan is seen compelling participants — including female contestants — to simulate intimate acts and respond to inappropriate questions, even as they appear visibly uncomfortable. The incident has led to severe backlash from social and political groups.

FIR against Ajaz Khan

The complaint that triggered the police action was lodged by Gautam Ravriya, an activist from the Bajrang Dal. According to police officials, Ravriya alleged that the show contains objectionable language and visuals that "insult the modesty of women."

"Based on a complaint lodged by Gautam Ravriya, an activist of Bajrang Dal, the police registered a case against actor Ajaz Khan, producer Rajkumar Pandey of the web show 'House Arrest' and other persons from ULLU app," an officer at the Amboli police station told PTI.

The show’s producer, Rajkumar Pandey, has also been booked. Authorities have invoked various provisions under the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS), the Information Technology Act, and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act.

Sexual assault case against Ajaz Khan

Adding to Ajaz Khan’s legal troubles, a separate case has been filed against him by a 30-year-old woman who has accused him of rape. According to the complaint registered at Mumbai’s Charkop police station, the woman claims Khan sexually assaulted her multiple times under the false promise of helping her secure acting roles in the film industry.
