New Delhi: 2023 International Emmy Awards nominees list has been unveiled. The Emmy Awards 2023 list featured 56 nominees from 20 countries across 14 categories. Among these, Indian actors like Jim Sarbh, Shefali Shah and Vir Das have also made it to the list. Jim Sarbh has been nominated in the Best Actor category for his performance as Homi Bhaba in the SonyLIV series 'Rocket Boys'.

Jim Sarbh shares his nomination with Argentina's Gustavo Bassani in 'losi,El Espía Arrepentido', UK's Martin Freeman in 'The Responder' and Sweden's Jonas Karlsson in 'Nattryttarna [Riding in Darkness]'.

Meanwhile, Shefali Shah has received a nomination in the Best Actor category for her performance in the Netflix series 'Delhi Crime Season 2'. She shared the nominee list for Best Actor( female) with UK's Billie Piper in ' Hate Suzie Too', Mexico's Karla Souza in 'La Caída [Dive]' and Denmark's Connie Nielson in 'Drømmeren – Karen Blixen Bliver Til'

Comedian and actor Vir Das has been nominated for his Netflix comedy 'Vir Das: Landing'. His nomination is shared by France's Le Flambeau for 'La Flamme' Season 2, Argentina's El Encargado and UK's popular comedy show 'Derry Girls Season 3'.

Vir Das shared his excitement after the Emmy 2023 nomination list was received. Taking to his official Instagram handle, Das shared a screenshot of his nomination and wrote, "WHAT!!!!!! I got nominated for an Emmy award for best comedy 😊 my second iEmmy nomination. To everyone who worked on this show Vir Das Landing, I am SO proud of you, and so grateful to @netflix_in for letting me tell my story. However, India has not received a nomination in the Best Drama Series category.

In addition to these individual nominations, producer and TV showrunner Ektaa R Kapoor will receive International emmy Directorate Award at the 51st International Emmy Awards Gala. 

The grand awards ceremony will take place on November 20, 2023 in New York City.
