Akshay Kumar's Welcome 3 Is Titled 'Welcome To The Jungle', Gets Its Release Date

The makers on Wednesday announced that the third installment of Welcome franchise will be titled ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and will hit theatres on Christmas next year.

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar and Suniel Shetty, who have worked in a number of films together, are reuniting for the third installment of the 'Welcome' franchise. The makers on Wednesday announced that the film will be titled ‘Welcome To The Jungle’ and revealed that the film will hit theatres on Christmas next year.

Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted the update and wrote, “FIROZ A NADIADWALA LOCKS CHRISTMAS 2024 FOR ‘WELCOME 3’… #WelcomeToTheJungle is the title of the third instalment of #Welcome franchise… Producer #FirozANadiadwala has decided to bring the family entertainer in #Christmas2024.”

Apart from Akshay and Suniel, the film also stars Sanjay Dutt, Arshad Warsi, Jacqueline Fernandez, and Disha Patani in pivotal roles.

Nana Patekar and Anil Kapoor, who were a part of the first two films of the franchise and played hugely popular characters Uday and Majnu, will reportedly not be a part of the third installment. According to Pinkvilla, Sanjay Dutt and Arshad Warsi have replaced th duo in the film.

“Of the 3 films under Firoz Nadiadwala’s banner, Welcome might be the first to take off as the script is ready a while back. The filmmaker is planning to bring a spin to the narrative of this comic caper by getting Sanjay Dutt and Arshad to play the notorious gangsters – Majnu and Uday. The duo have already shown their chemistry as Munna and Circuit and now it will be time to explore the dimension in a new franchise,” Pinkvilla quoted its source as saying.

Recently, in an interview with Hindustan Times, Arshad Wari confirmed being part of Welcome 3. “The scale of Welcome 3: the cost, the climax, is unreal. It is an insanely larger-than-life theatrical film which I will be a part of. It has me, Akshay Kumar, Sanju (Sanjay Dutt), Paresh Rawal and lots of other people,” he told Hindustan Times.

Welcome was released on Christmas 2007, and the sequel was released in 2015.
