Chhaava Box Office Collection: ‘Chhaava’ has emerged as the first blockbuster of the year, setting the box office on fire. Directed by Laxman Utekar, this historical action drama brings to life the story of Sambhaji Maharaj, the second ruler of the Maratha Empire, and his fierce battle against Mughal Emperor Aurangzeb.

Chhaava vs Pushpa 2

As ‘Chhaava’ continues its record-breaking box office run, reports suggest the film collected Rs 19.23 crore yesterday, bringing its total to Rs 372.84 crore. The film, based on the life of Chhatrapati Sambhaji Maharaj, narrowly missed surpassing ‘Pushpa 2’ (Rs 19.50 crore) to become the highest second-Tuesday grosser of all time.

With the Maha Shivratri holiday boost, ‘Chhaava’ is set to challenge ‘Pushpa 2’, ‘Pathaan’, and ‘Baahubali 2’ for the highest second-Wednesday collection ever. It’s also on course to surpass Dangal's Rs 387.38 crore lifetime earnings, Bollywood’s top global grosser. The film is expected to join the Rs 400 crore club by today or tomorrow.
