Rhea Chakraborty Yet To File Complaint Against Online Rape Threat After Sushant Singh Rajput's Death?

New Delhi: Bollywood actress Rhea Chakraborty has remained in limelight since the demise of her boyfriend Sushant Singh Rajput. The ‘Jalebi’ actress was quizzed by Mumbai Police officials in connection with the ‘Raabta’ actor’s case for over 10 hours last month. Yesterday, Rhea shared a screenshot of the rape threat she received on social media. Rhea said that she kept quite when she was called a gold digger and slut-shamed but no one can tell her that she will get raped if she doesn’t commit suicide. “I was called a gold digger ..I kept quiet I was called a murderer ....I kept quiet I was slut shamed ....I kept quiet But how does my silence give you the right to tell me that you will get me RAPED and MURDERED if I don’t commit suicide @mannu_raaut ? Do you realize the seriousness of what you have said? These are crimes, and by law no one, I repeat NO ONE should be subjected to this kind of toxicity and harassment .I request @cyber_crime_helpline @cybercrimeindia to please take necessary action .ENOUGH IS ENOUGH,” the ‘Chehre’ actress wrote on Instagram.
According to a report in an entertainment portal, Rhea Chakraborty is yet to file an official complaint with the police. The actress requested cyber crime cell to take action against the person, who issued her threat on social media in her Insta post. However, she is yet to lodge a complaint regarding the same, the report in Pinkvilla said. Rhea also requested Home Minister Amit Shah to initiate CBI enquiry into Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide case. For the first time ever, she addressed the late actor as her boyfriend. She wrote, "Respected @amitshahofficial sir, I’m sushant Singh Rajputs girlfriend Rhea chakraborty, it is now over a month since his sudden demise . I have complete faith in the government , however in the interest of justice , I request you with folded hands to initiate a CBI enquiry into this matter . I only want to understand what pressures prompted Sushant to take this step. Yours sincerely Rhea Chakraborty."
Mumbai Police is currently investigating Sushant's case and the officers have recorded the statements of over 30 people including actor's 'Dil Bechara' co-star Sanjana Sanghi, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Shanoo Sharma.
