Sushant Singh Rajput’s Father to SC: ‘Attempt To Talk to Him Was Thwarted by Accused, It Could Have Saved His Life’

Sushant Singh Rajput's father KK Singh filed a written submission in the Supreme Court and said that his attempt to talk to the actor was thwarted by the accused.

New Delhi: Late Sushant Singh Rajput’s father KK Singh filed his written submission in the Supreme Court on Thursday (August 13) on Rhea Chakraborty's plea seeking transfer of the FIR registered against her in Patna to Mumbai in connection with the ‘Dil Bechara’ actor’s death. The ‘Pavitra Rishta’ star’s father had lodged a complaint against Chakraborty and five other people under various sections of the IPC including abetment to suicide at Patna’s Rajiv Nagar Police station last month. Also READ: ED Summons Sushant Singh Rajput’s Personal Staff For Questioning, Will Probe Document Collected From Rhea Chakraborty & Others KK Singh, in his written submission filed through advocate Vikas Singh, said that his attempts to talk to Sushant on phone from Patna were thwarted by the accused. “It could have saved my son’s life,” Singh said in his reply to the apex court.
The CBI has also filed its written submission before the top court in which the agency said that SC should let CBI and EDI continue their investigation.
Rhea Chakraborty and Bihar government have filed their written submissions in the top court in connection with Sushant’s case. The Bihar government, in a written submission filed through advocate Keshav Mohan, has sought dismissal of Rhea Chakraborty’s petition. She told the apex court that the FIR registered against her in Patna could at ‘best be regarded as a zero FIR’ and transferred to Mumbai Police. The Supreme Court had, on August 11, reserved its verdict on Rhea’s plea and asked the concerned parties to submit their written notes by Thursday. The ED has filed a money laundering case against Rhea Chakraborty. The agency questioned the 'Jalebi' actress, her brother Showik Chakraborty, former manager Shruti Modi and others in connection with the late actor's case. The CBI has filed an FIR against Rhea, her family members, Shruti Modi and unknown others on the basis of the FIR lodged at Patna's Rajiv Nagar Police station by Sushant's father.
