Sunny Deol's Old 'Mujrawali' Comment For Actors Dancing At Weddings Goes Viral; Fans Suggest If That Means 'SRK'

As Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2' gears up for release, an old interview of the actor seems to be going viral.

New Delhi: Old interview clips of celebrities going viral ahead of film's release have now become a norm. As Sunny Deol starrer 'Gadar 2' gears up for release, an old interview of the actor seems to be going viral. In one of the old interviews, Sunny Deol had called up fellow-actors for dancing at weddings stating that it's a big hit to their dignity. At the time, Shah Rukh Khan, was getting quite a lot of attention for his dance performances at weddings. Many fans also suggested that the infamous quote came at the time of a clash during the making of 'Darr'.

Back in the day, Sunny Deol gave this interview to Filmfare saying, "You lose dignity when you dance at others' weddings. Though it has now become fashionable, I believe that one loses self-respect. We are actors, not people doing 'tamasha'."

At the time he had also added, "Only mujrawallis dance at weddings, not actors. I think actors should maintain their dignity. Dancing at a friend's wedding is okay, but getting paid to dance is cheap. Next, you'll ask me, Isn't prostitution better than borrowing money from the market? I don't agree with this kind of logic."

Shah Rukh Khan also responded to Sunny Deol's comment at the time. In an interview with Lehren, he said, " There is money attached to it because I use that money to make my own films. I don't' have to borrow money to make films."

"The happiest moment for anyone is marriage, and I love participating in that... Only the richest people in the world can afford me." He had added.

Meanwhile, Sunny Deol will be seen in the much-awaited sequel 'Gadar 2', in the film he will be reuniting with Ameesha Patel. Sunny will be reprising his role as Tara Singh and Sakina after a gap of 22 years. The film will be clashing with
OMG 2' at the box office.

On the other hand, Shah Rukh Khan will be seen in the much anticipated Atlee film 'Jawan' which is now a month away from release. The film starring Nayanthara will be released on September 7, 2023.
