New Delhi: 'Sukhee' will mark Shilpa Shetty's return to the big screen. The actor will play the title character in her upcoming film for the first time in a while. Shilpa portrays a rebellious woman in the Sukhee trailer, which was released on Wednesday. Sukhee's makers also unveiled the film's trailer in addition to its posters.
Shilpa begins the Sukhee trailer by detailing how her everyday tasks are confined to taking care of her family. Her dull way of life, however, is abruptly transformed when she gets an invitation to her high school reunion. Taking advantage of the chance, Sukhee reveals her wish to go to Delhi and meet up with her friend, Kusha Kapila. She sets out on an exciting trip in Delhi following an argument with her spouse.
Although Sukhee feels a sense of guilt, her school friends stop her from going down that path. When she overhears some guys complaining that every movie about the empowerment of women has the same plot, she switches from kurtis to red gowns.

The synopsis of the film reads: “The film is a light-hearted, slice-of-life story of Sukhpreet ‘Sukhee’ Kalra, a 38-year-old Punjabi housewife who goes to Delhi to attend her school reunion. Sukhee relives the 17-year-old version of herself whilst going through a plethora of experiences in a span of just seven days, coming out rekindled, reborn and making the most difficult transition in her life – from being a wife and a mother to being a woman again. In every woman, there is a Bedhadak, Besharam, Beparwah, and Sukhee hidden and this film invites you to reconnect with yourself.”
Sonal Joshi makes her feature film debut as a director with 'Sukhee', which is made by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Vikram Malhotra, and Shikhaa Sharma. Amit Sadh, Chaitanya Chaudhary, Kiran Kumar, and Kusha Kapila all play major roles in the film.
