After Ranveer Singh's 'Simmba', dynamic duo Rohit Shetty and Karan Johar have joined hands for the much-awaited film 'Sooryavanshi' in which superstar Akshay Kumar will be seen playing the lead role of Anti-Terrorism Squad's chief. Ever since the film's announcement, the fans are excited to know who will play the female lead in 'Sooryavanshi'. Today (22nd April), the makers have finally announced the name of Akshay Kumar's 'Sooryavanshi' leading lady and she is none other than Katrina Kaif. 'Sooryavanshi' lead star Akshay Kumar took to his social media account and announced the same. On a related note, 'Sooryavanshi' will be Akshay & Katrina's seventh film together. They have earlier worked with each other in films like 'Humko Deewana Kar Gaye', 'Namastey London', 'Welcome', 'Singh Is Kinng', De Dana Dan' and 'Tees Maar Khan'. Now, the popular onscreen couple is all set to set the screen on fire in 'Sooryavanshi' and this is indeed a great news for their fans. Coming back to 'Sooryavanshi', the film is from Rohit Shetty's police universe and is set to go on floors in May.
