Siddhant Chaturvedi And Triptii Dimri's 'Dhadak 2' Gets Release Date, New Poster Out

The makers of 'Dhadak 2' have revealed the release date for the much-awaited sequel, starring Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri.

New Delhi: The highly awaited romantic drama 'Dhadak 2', which is backed by Karan Johar's Dharma Productions, is expected to feature Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri together for the first time on screen. Karan Johar gave fans a preview of the film's first posters on Monday, May 26, giving them a taste of the passionate and conflict-filled love narrative.

The recently published posters highlight the intense chemistry that exists between the two actors who play the key roles.

While Siddhant is shown in one of the photographs holding Triptii in a protective hug, with strong resolve in his gaze, the second image zooms in on Triptii's face, revealing her emotional fragility. On the posters, there is a slogan that reads, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna." This tagline, which translates to "If you ever have to choose between dying and fighting, then choose to fight," provides a clue about the conflict that will take place on screen over love.

About 'Dhadak 2'

This film is a continuation of the 2018 smash hit 'Dhadak', which in turn was based on the Marathi classic 'Sairat'. Tragic themes of caste prejudice and forbidden love were explored in the original film, which followed a lad from a lower caste who fell in love with a girl from upper caste.

Fans of the Dhadak series are becoming more restless for the next installment, which will reportedly be an emotionally intense and riveting examination of love, society, and the struggles one has while standing up for what they think is right.

The Hindu stated that the CBFC has now granted 'Dhadak 2' a U/A certificate. However, 16 specific changes had to be made before this permission could be granted.

The film, initially scheduled for a November 2024 release, was delayed to March 2025 due to certification issues. It is now officially set to hit theaters in August 2025.
