New Delhi: Colors TV’s ‘Balika Vadhu 2’ is all set to take a generation leap soon. The makers of the social drama have decided to introduce the leap to spice up the ratings. Speculations are rife that popular TV actress Shivangi Joshi will play the grown-up Anandi in the show. Although Joshi and the production house have remained tight-lipped about the development, there are rumours that the ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’ will be seen in the second season of ‘Balika Vadhu’.
Rhea Sharma Might Play Lead In Balika Vadhu
If a recent report in IWMBuzz is to be believed, Rhea Sharma might bag the role of Anandi in the show. A source told the entertainment portal the makers and channel are pleased with Rhea Sharma’s mock shoot for ‘Balika Vadhu 2’.
Shivangi Joshi is still in contention as she enjoys a significant popularity among the viewers. The production house and the channel are yet to take a decision on the female lead of ‘Balika Vadhu 2’. It remains to be seen which TV diva will bag the meaty role in the daily soap.
Interestingly, Rhea Sharma played the lead role in ‘Yeh Rishtey Hain Pyaar Ke’, which was the spin-off of ‘Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai’. Rhea’s chemistry with co-star Shaheer Sheikh grabbed several eyeballs. The ‘Diya Aur Baati Hum’ actress has been missing from the small screens since ‘YRHPK’ ended in October 2020.
Will Leap Increase TRPs Of Balika Vadhu 2?
The show was launched in August 2021 with several expectations. However, it failed to set the TRP charts on fire. Makers often introduce leap to grab the attention of the viewers, who determine the fate of any show. We will have to wait for sometime to see if the new track will work wonders for 'Balika Vadhu 2' or not.
