Shah Rukh Khan's Dunki Likely To Be Postponed To Avoid Clash With Prabhas Starrer Salaar
'Dunki' and Prabhas' upcoming movie 'Salaar -Part 1: Ceasefire' both have December releases this year.
New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan, who is currently basking in the success of his recent film, 'Jawan', stated that Raj Kumar Hirani's 'Dunki' would be released on December 22. However, rumours abound that Shah Rukh Khan's upcoming movie may be pushed back until 2024. 'Dunki' and Prabhas' upcoming movie 'Salaar -Part 1: Ceasefire' both have December releases this year.
A new report suggests that the makers of the movie 'Dunki' intend to delay its release until 2024. Taking to X film trade analyst Manobala Vijayabalan wrote, "Buzz: #SalaarVsDunki X #ShahRukhKhan's #Dunki likely to get POSTPONED. #Prabhas' #Salaar to get a SOLO record release." On X, film news page Lets Cinema wrote, "Reports suggest, #Dunki might get postponed from December 22nd due to delayed post-production timelines. Awaiting on official confirmation."

Aakashavaani also made similar remarks and wrote on Twitter, "Yes. The talk going around is said to be true. #Dunki most ‘Likely’ to get postponed. Post-production works are said to be taking time and the team may not be able to complete the works for the 22nd December release. Official confirmation is awaited."
The upcoming action-thriller 'Salaar' will be released in theatres on December 22, according to a recent announcement from the movie's makers. On the other hand, 'Dunki', starring Taapsee Pannu, will be Shah Rukh Khan's third film to be released in 2023. The film is directed by Rajkumar Hirani from a script he co-wrote with Abhijaat Joshi and Kanika Dhillon.
Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan has imprinted himself into the history of the world's box office because of the staggering earnings of his hugely profitable worldwide hit 'Jawan'. The Siddharth Anand directorial raised over Rs 1000 crore at the worldwide box office.
