Satyaprem Ki Katha Box Office Collection Day 11: Kartik Aaryan, Kiara Advani Starrer Has Strong Weekend

Despite getting favourable reviews, Satyaprem Ki Katha's performance gradually slipped after its opening.

New Delhi: 'Satyaprem Ki Katha', starring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, gained pace at the box office during its second weekend in theatres. Despite getting favourable reviews, the movie's performance gradually slipped after its opening on Monday and reached its lowest point on Friday.

However, the Sameer Vidwans-directed film had decent growth over the course of its second weekend and, according to early estimates, brought in Rs 5.25 crore on Sunday. The movie made Rs 9.25 crores on day one, with just a slight drop on working Friday. On day two, it earned Rs 7 crores, and on day three, on Saturday, it garnered Rs 10.10 crores.

'Satyaprem Ki Katha' recorded its lowest Friday earning total, only Rs 2.85 crore, according to a report on Sacnilk.com. On Saturday, it did, however, record a 66 percent increase with a Rs 4.75 crore collection. On Sunday, it made up further around Rs 5.25 crore, bringing its 11-day revenue total to Rs 66.06 crore.

The film review on ABP Live reads: 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' feels like a commercial entertainer; scored with songs, cringe dialogue, exaggerated melodrama, and an isolated Guajarati family living on planet Mars which is unaffected by the socio-cultural changes in Indian society since globalization. For the first half, it feels like Gajraj Rao as Kartik Aaryan's on-screen father and Kartik have no other objective in their life but to get the latter married despite not having the means to support the marriage or the brains.

Recently, Kiara Advani wrote a note to the audience in gratitude for their support. On Instagram, she wrote: "Today what has truly touched me is seeing my fans rejoice with all the reviews coming my way..they have rooted for me since the very beginning and seeing them feel a sense of victory has made me really emotional, I owed it to them, it has taken me some time, but here we are finally! It is their success. This love is genuinely magical. #JustGreatful."

The cast of 'SatyaPrem Ki Katha' also includes Supriya Pathak Kapur, Gajraj Rao, Rajpal Yadav, and Shikha Talsania.
