Sanjay Dutt Diagnosed With Stage 3 Lung Cancer; Wife Maanayata Says ‘I Am Confident, This Too Shall Pass’
The ‘Sadak 2’ actor has reportedly been diagnosed with stage 3 lung cancer and he can go to Singapore for treatment. Owing to this situation, wife Maanayata Dutt has released a statement for his fans.
New Delhi: As soon as the news of the actor getting diagnosed with the advanced stage lung cancer came out, his wife Maanayata along with his two children flew back to Mumbai in a special plane from Dubai. On Saturday, the ‘Agneepath’ actor was admitted to the hospital after he complained of breathlessness and on August 10, he announced on social media that he will be taking a short break from work. The ‘Munna Bhai M.B.B.S.’ actor was also discharged from the hospital on Tuesday.

Fans of the actor from all over the world have been praying for his speedy recovery. Thanking everyone for their prayers and wishes, his wife Maanayata Dutt said in a statement that Sanju and his family has been a fighter. She further added that God has chosen to test them to overcome the challenges ahead and she believes that they will emerge as winners on the other side.
Her statement read, “I thank everyone who has expressed their well wishes for Sanju’s speedy recovery. We need all the strength and prayers to overcome this phase. There is a lot that the family has gone through in the past years but I am confident, this too shall pass. However, it is my heartfelt request to Sanju’s fans to not fall prey to speculations and unwarranted rumours, but to just help us with their ongoing love, warmth and support. Sanju has always been a fighter, and so has our family. God has yet again chosen to test us to overcome the challenges ahead. All we seek is your prayers and blessings, and we know we will emerge as winners on the other side, as we always have. Let us use this opportunity to spread light and positivity”
Meanwhile, Sanjay Dutt’s upcoming movie ‘Sadak 2’ dropped its trailer today which is a sequel to his 1991 film ‘Sadak’. The movie also marks Mahesh Bhatt’s comeback as a director after 21 years.
