Salman Khan’s ‘Sikandar’ Crosses Rs 100 Crore In India, Nears Rs 200 Crore Globally On Day 8

Salman Khan's action-packed masala fest, 'Sikandar', has officially crossed the Rs 100 crore mark in India, just eight days after its release.

New Delhi: The action-packed thriller Sikandar, starring Salman Khan, has already surpassed Rs 100 crore in India on its eighth day of release and is dominating the box office. After an amazing opening weekend, the high-octane masala entertainment has maintained a great performance throughout the week.

According to Sacnilk, the film's total domestic net collection reached Rs 102.25 crore. In India, 'Sikandar' made an outstanding Rs 90.25 crore in its first week of release, building on an amazing opening of Rs 26 crore. The film's success carried over into its second week, as shown by a little uptick in box office revenues.

The film's second weekend took in a respectable Rs 3.5 crore on Friday, Rs 4 crore on Saturday, and an extra Rs 4.5 crore on Sunday, for a total of about Rs 12 crore for the weekend. 

Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment reports that 'Sikandar' earned Rs 187.84 crore globally in its first seven days, putting the film's global total close to Rs 200 crore.

Meanwhile, the movie allegedly made its way into many illegal streaming platforms, including Telegram groups, where viewers could watch or download it in HD and other formats.

Salman Khan's Prediction

Salman Khan was confident in the film's box office potential before its debut, highlighting the importance of fan support. He said in a press conference, “Festive, non-festive... it’s the love of the people. Picture achhi ho ya buri, 100 crore to paar karva hi denge (Whether the film is good or bad, the audience will make sure it crosses Rs 100 crore).”

Salman Khan plays the lead in A.R. Murugadoss's 'Sikandar', which also has Kajal Aggarwal, Suniel Shetty, Sathyaraj, Prateik Babbar, and Sharman Joshi in supporting roles. The movie centres on Sikandar, a man who is determined to safeguard three people who got organ donations from his late wife.
