Salman Khan Buys Bulletproof SUV Nissan Patrol Amid Death Threats From Criminal Lawrence Bishnoi

After receiving threats from multiple sources, Bollywood mega-star Salman Khan recently purchased a stylish white bulletproof Nissan SUV.

New Delhi: After receiving threats from multiple sources, Bollywood mega-star Salman Khan recently purchased a stylish white bulletproof Nissan SUV, according to people close to the actor. This comes just months after the superstar obtained a weapons licence for self-defense.

Salman Khan, who has already been granted Y-Plus Security coverage, is not taking any chances and has imported a Nissan Patrol SUV that has not yet been released in India, for his hassle-free trips within and around Mumbai.

This would be an improvement on his previous customised Toyota Land Cruiser with armour and bulletproof glass but is considered a lower level of protection.

The developments come after a slew of threats made against him, his ailing father, and famed Bollywood author Salim Khan in the previous few months by the gang of crime don Lawrence Bishnoi.

Even while the actor and his celebrity family's security was being tightened a few weeks ago, Bishnoi declared in an interview that his life's ambition was to "murder Salman Khan."

Bishnoi had even proclaimed in an interview that his life goal was to "kill Salman Khan", even as the security cover for the actor and his celeb family was stepped up a few weeks ago.

Khan has scheduled his next big release, 'Kissi Ka Bhai, Kissi Ki Jaan', later this month coinciding with the Ramzan-end festival of Eid-ul-Fitr.

Later he has Diwali line-up of 'Tiger 3' and then 'Tiger Vs. Pathaan' in which he will work with Shah Rukh Khan.

Salman Khan was recently part of the Filmfare press conference where he spoke about vulgarity on OTT platforms and high film production costs among other things. Addressing the press conference, Salman Khan said that there should be censorship on OTT platforms and the content produced is not 'nice'. Now, with some regulation, things are better but earlier, there was no censorship and thus obscenity, vulgar language, and violence had increased.
