Raj Kundra Pornography Case: Shilpa Shetty Likely To Be Summoned By Mumbai Police For Questioning
While the Mumbai Police said that Shilpa Shetty is not directly involved with Raj Kundra's case, sources suggest that she can be called to record her statement.
Mumbai: Bollywood actress Shilpa Shetty’s husband Raj Kundra’s arrest for his alleged involvement in making and selling of pornographic material through mobile apps has become the talk of the town. The Crime Branch of Mumbai Police said that the businessman was ‘gaining financially’ from the illegal activity. While sources close to the adult films racket case suggest that Shilpa Shetty is not directly involved, she might be called by the police officers to record her statement.
The Mumbai Police can issue a notice to Shilpa as part of their investigation in the matter. Although the Crime Branch is yet to officially confirm that the ‘Dhadkan’ actress will be called for questioning, sources say that she might be summoned.

Milind Bharambe, Joint commissioner of Mumbai Police (Crime), while addressing a press conference, had said that the officials couldn't find 'any active role of Shilpa' in the case. "We have not been able to any find any active role of Shilpa Shetty yet. We are investigating. We will appeal to the victims to come forward and contact the Crime Branch Mumbai and we'll take appropriate action," Bharambe was quoted as saying by ANI.
The Crime Branch made several new revelations in the alleged adult films racket case and said that Raj Kundra had a 'Plan B' in case his app 'HotShots' was banned or shut down due to some reasons. The officials revealed that Kundra had sensed that he could come under the scanner of the Crime cell and therefore, he devised another plan to keep his business going.
The WhatsApp chats received by the police officers revealed that Raj Kundra was planning to launch another app named 'Bollyframe'.
The Mumbai Police booked Raj Kundra under relevant sections of the Indian Penal Code including 420 (cheating), 34 (common intention), 292 and 293 (related to obscene and indecent advertisements and displays). He was also booked under the IT Act and the Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, another report in PTI said.
Talking about Shilpa Shetty, the actress will return to films with 'Hungama 2'. The comedy flick will premiere directly on Disney+Hotstar on July 23, 2021.
