Netizens react to Akshay and Saif's new film announcement

Fans quickly filled the comments with excitement and nostalgia, hailing the return of a beloved pairing last seen in Tashan (2008). While one user commented, “Another blockbuster in the making!”, another enthusiastically requested, “Dear Sir, we need Akshay Kumar Sir in a massy never-seen-before beard look.” Some even urged Priyadarshan to present Akshay as a brutal, psycho killer—suggesting the anticipation is as much about reinvention as reunion.

About Haiwaan

Haiwaan is reportedly the Hindi adaptation of the 2016 Malayalam thriller Oppam, which featured Mohanlal in the lead. As per reports, Akshay Kumar will take on a villainous role in the film, while Saif Ali Khan will play the protagonist. A source close to the production told HT City, “Akshay and Saif have always enjoyed working with each other and admired each other’s work. The moment they read the script, they knew they were on board."

The film will go on floors this August, with a theatrical release planned for 2026.
