New Delhi: Zeenat Aman will soon have a biopic on her. The iconic yesteryear star known for being a trailblazer in many aspects. Actress Payal Ghosh will essay the role of yesteryear superstar Zeenat Aman in the upcoming biopic 'Shaque: The Doubt'.
Zeenat, well-known for her involvement in beauty pageants, debuted as an actor in the film ‘The Evil Within’ in 1970. She became well-known for her roles in several films, including ‘Don’, "Yaadon Ki Baaraat’, ‘Qurbani’, ‘Dostana’, and ‘Hare Rama Hare Krishna’.
The 72-year-old actress made her Instagram debut in February 2023 and has since become a popular figure on the photo-sharing platform. She consistently posts updates from her career and a variety of nostalgic photos to her social media accounts.
When discussing her role as Zeenat, Payal—who last appeared in ‘Fire of Love: Red’—told news agency IANS: "This is a humongous opportunity for me. I am really glad and fortunate that so much of faith has been entrusted in me that they feel I can play such an iconic personality on-screen."
"Zeenat Aman is a legend and getting to essay her on-screen is one of the biggest opportunities any actor of today's time can get. I am so excited and looking forward to doing a good job in the project. I am thrilled and all I want to promise to my fans is that I am going to do my best for this," she added.

Off late, Zeenat Aman shared her most recent post on Instagram and wrote, “Hello from the pink city! We’re working 12 hour shifts here, so I’m making the most of my one free day today. I was on my way out for a social engagement, when @zanuski noticed the light on our hotel terrace and insisted I pose. By the way, the kids have started calling my social media ‘the beast’. And every time I resist their attempts to take a photograph ( which is more often than you’d imagine) they say I’m “starving the beast”! I think it’s quite a clever monicker for a platform that has so many perils and possibilities. What about you?”
