Air India Flyer Pays ₹2.4 Lakh For Ticket, Gets Broken Seat & Stinky Cabin In 16-Hour Ordeal. Airline Reacts
A passenger on a Rs. 242,000 Air India flight from Chicago to Delhi was dissatisfied with the broken seat, stinky cabin, lack of sleep, and inadequate food.

A tweet between a user and Air India on X has grabbed the eyeballs. In a post on X, a user named Soumitra Chatterjee wrote on X that Air India will continue to give opportunities for harassed passengers to say, "to hell with Air India".
The entire matter, according to the post on X, is that the user took a flight from Chicago to Delhi for a price of Rs. 242,000. But, when he boarded the aircraft, he found the seat to be broken and the cabin to be stinky.
The user has also mentioned that he could not sleep for 16 hours and there was no proper food.
"You have ‘looked into’ and offered me Rs 5000 compensation against a ticket of Rs 242,000- for providing a broken seat, horrible seat and a stinky cabin. 16 hrs without sleep and proper food and AI audacity. What new can I expect? We all know your level," he posted on X.
Meanwhile, Air India replied to the post and asked to DM.
According to the user, he was promised Rs. 5,000 as full and final settlement. However, the user wrote that the aircraft should refund the entire amount.
"Logically, U shd fully refund my money & compensate. However ur limit of understanding is 5000!! reflects the hollowness of your culture and value system as an organisation. not surprised,so I donated this money for a better level of understanding of the plight you forced upon me," the user wrote further.
"Dear Mr. Chatterjee, while we acknowledge your concern, we understand that we have offered the best possible resolution. We look forward to your kind understanding," Air India replied to the post on X.
"Your insistence on my acceptance of the peanut you offered me against a 16hr Ordeal of a Business Class travel on a broken seat, horrible food and hospital cabin is pathetic. I already refused it. You continue with your condemnable service & attitude. We will continue to protest," the user added with a few pictures on X.
Air India in the post has regretted the issues that the user has faced and has assured to serve better in the future.
