The famed Dolby Theatre has been home to the Oscars since 2001 when it opened. The mega event is taking place at Dolby after a gap as the Covid-19 pandemic shrunk the ceremony last year. One 170 guests attended the event held at a Union station in Downtown LA in 2021, according to reports.
The show will begin at 8 pm ET (5.30 am IST) and will be hosted by Regina Hall, Amy Schumer and Wanda Sykes.
The ceremony had gone without a host for three years since 2019, and this is the first time three women will emcee it. Each woman will bring something different to the show, producer Will Packer was quoted as saying.
Music is also coming back at the Oscars. There will be performances by Beyonce and Billie Eilish, among others.
The Oscars show is organised by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, which has said they will keep the broadcast to three hours, media reports said.
