Naseeruddin Shah Health Update: Actor’s Condition Stable; Might Get Discharged Today
Naseeruddin Shah was admitted to Hinduja Hospital on Tuesday after he was diagnosed with pneumonia.
Mumbai: Well-known actor Naseeruddin Shah's health condition is now stable. The ‘Masoom’ actor might get discharged from the hospital today. He was admitted to Hinduja Hospital on Tuesday after he was diagnosed with pneumonia. The hospital is not a COVID-19 center and the actor is undergoing treatment for a patch that has been found in his lungs.
Naseeruddin Shah’s secretary Jayraj revealed while speaking to ABP News that the ‘Ishqiya’ actor has been responding well to his treatment and is under medical supervision.
Legendary actor Dilip Kumar is also admitted to the same hospital where Shah is being treated. Dilip Kumar was bought in after he complained of breathlessness yesterday.
Naseeruddin Shah started his film career in 1975 with Shyam Benegal's film ‘Nishant’ and went on to become an influential figure in the world of parallel cinema in the 1970s and '80s. Shah has acted in many memorable films including 'Sparsh' (1979), the satirical comedy 'Jaane Bhi Do Yaaro' (1983) 'Masoom' and 'Mirch Masala' to name a few.
Naseeruddin has acted in around 100 films and has won three National Awards. He is also known for his theater works and runs a theater group called ‘Motley Productions’. The ‘’ actor has also acted in some of the super hit films during the last two decades like Vishal Bhardwaj's 2009 film ‘Ishqiya’, Vidya Balan starrer ‘Dirty Picture’ and Zoya Akhtar's ‘Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara’. Shah was last seen in the 2020 Zee5 drama 'Mee Raqsam'.
