Mr And Mrs Mahi Box Office Collection: ‘Mr and Mrs Mahi’, starring Janhvi Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao, is finding it difficult to earn over Rs 2 cr in a single day during its first week of release. The sports drama has raked in Rs 1.75 crore on its first Thursday, according to Sacnilk.com.

On weekdays, ‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ witnessed a decline in the box office collections. The movie had a good first day of business, earning Rs 6.75 crore. It made Rs 4.6 crore on the second day and Rs 5.5 crore on the third. The film earned Rs 2.15 crore on its first Monday, despite a decline in ticket sales. Now, adding day 7's earnings, the movie has made Rs 24.45 crore.

There was an initial buzz that the film was somehow related to Mahendra Singh Dhoni, which is not the case, except for a brief appearance of Dhoni's photo. This isn’t a typical sports film; the narrative could have involved any other art or sport, such as singing or dancing. However, the producers, being cricket fans, chose to focus on cricket. The story is good, delivering a feel-good experience, and offers a unique perspective, making it worth watching in theaters."

‘Mr. and Mrs. Mahi’ marks the second collaboration between Janhvi and Rajkummar. The actors were previously seen in the horror comedy ‘Roohi’. The sports drama centres on Mahendra (Rajkummar Rao), who dreams of being a part of his country’s cricket team. After he marries Mahina (Janhvi Kapoor), he notices her talent for the sport. Eventually, he decides to coach Mahima.
