As should be expected, fans are thrilled about the collaboration in response to the announcement that has been making the rounds on social media since Thursday.
Mohanlal's last Tamil appearance was in the Suriya-led film 'Kaappaan', where he played the Prime Minister. Mohanlal is currently getting ready for the upcoming release of 'Alone', a Malayalam film with just him as the main character.
Meanwhile, Rajinikanth portrays a prison warden in 'Jailer', and the most of the movie was shot inside a prison. He worked with filmmaker Nelson on the film, which also features major roles by Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, and Ramya Krishnan.
Additionally, Rajinikanth will shortly begin filming for 'Laal Salaam', the film helmed by his daughter Aishwarya Rajinikanth.
