Kangana Ranaut REACTS On Citizenship Amendment Act, SLAMS Bollywood's Silence On CAA Row

Kangana Ranaut questioned Bollywood celebrities for not speaking up on the Citizenship Amendment Act.

New Delhi: Several Bollywood celebs including Priyanka Chopra, Hrithik Roshan, Vicky Kaushal and Dia Mirza have condemned the police violence on the students protesting against the Citizenship Amendment Act 2019. Kangana Ranaut, who was last seen in ‘Judgementall Hai Kya’, has also expressed her opinion on CAA. The ‘Queen’ star, while talking to a portal, slammed the tinsel town stars for their silence on the CAA row and the protests being held across the country. Kangana, who is known for speaking her mind, strongly reacted to the social media outrage on the silence of Bollywood celebs on CAA. She called them 'cowards' and 'spineless' for not speaking up. “The actors should be ashamed of themselves. I have no illusions about the fact that Bollywood is full of cowards who are full of themselves. All they do is just look into the mirror 20 times a day and when they’re asked they say we have electricity and we have access to everything, we are privileged, why should we be bothered about the country. Some of them even brag about it, that we are artists, we should not be concerned about the nation, they should be dragged for this and that is why I have come out in the open to question them. Some of them are just hiding behind their comfort zone and thinking that all they are above the nation, they’re above the people,” Kangana told ETimes.

Talking about the Citizenship Amendment Act, the ‘Manikarnika’ actress said the country is at the ‘threshold of a great possibility now’. “We are at the threshold of a great possibility now's the time where decisive decisions are being taken. And we will finally know what is India what is not India who is an Indian who is not an Indian because that clarity no one has yet, you know the governments before have made sure that we do not know our borders and we do not know our population,” the actress further told the portal. When asked if the Bollywood celebs fear the politicians, the Pahadi beauty said, "No, they live under the fear of everything. They are the most scared human beings I've ever seen. They are sissies. They are cowards. They're spineless people. That's why they bully outsiders, they bully girls because they are cowards. " On the professional front, Kangana Ranaut will be next seen in ‘Panga’. Director Ashwiny Iyer Tiwari shared the first look of the actress from the film on social media on Thursday (December 19). She captioned the post as, “Jo sapne dekhte hain woh #Panga lete hain.
