Hrithik Roshan is set to take on a new role in his career—this time, behind the camera. The actor, who is currently touring the US to celebrate 25 years in the Indian film industry, spoke about directing 'Krrish 4' during an event in Atlanta.

While interacting with fans at the event, Hrithik responded to a throwback image of himself working behind the scenes. Reflecting on his early experience, he recalled, "This was during a film called ‘Koyla’. That was the first time I did something behind the camera, I directed the making of ‘Koyla’. And now I'm going behind the camera again. Good luck to me."

The actor also admitted that the transition to direction comes with its share of nerves. "I can't tell you all how nervous I am, I'll need all the encouragement I possibly can get," he confessed, drawing cheers and support from the crowd.

The news of Hrithik stepping into the director's chair was first shared by his father and veteran filmmaker Rakesh Roshan, who confirmed that his son would take the reins of the beloved Krrish franchise. The superhero saga, which began over two decades ago, is all set to return with fresh vision and scale under Hrithik’s direction, generating considerable buzz among fans.

Besides his directorial venture, Hrithik also spoke about his experience working on ‘War 2’, where he shares screen space with Telugu superstar Jr. NTR. Speaking warmly of his co-star, Hrithik said, "My favourite co-star is actually Jr. NTR. I just did War 2 with him and he is amazing. He is brilliant, such a fine teammate. I think we have done something good and I cannot wait for you all to watch it, ‘War 2’, 14th August."

Giving an update on the production of the film, he added, "I'm extremely proud of this film. There's only one song pending, rest of the film is shot. The song that we will be shooting is with Jr. NTR and I'll go back and finish it. I hope I do well. But this film is going to be bigger and better than part 1, that’s my promise to you. So wish me luck."

Earlier, reports had emerged that Hrithik sustained a minor injury while rehearsing for the song sequence, causing a brief delay in the shoot. Directed by Ayan Mukerji and backed by Yash Raj Films, ‘War 2’ serves as the sequel to the 2019 hit War, and is slated for release on August 14.
