Dhoom 4: Is Akshay Kumar Playing The Lead Villain In Fourth Installment? YRF Issues Official Statement Denying The Reports!

A leading portal reported that Akshay Kumar has been approached by YRF Films to play lead antagonist and that Manushi Chhhillar would play the female lead. YRF has now issued clarification over the same.

The Friday morning got the Akki-fans super excited with reports over 'Housefull 4' actor Akshay Kumar being approached to play lead antagonist in the fourth installment of the 'Dhoom' franchise by Yash Raj Films. Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhilar was speculated to play female lead. As per the Midday report, a source close to the development said, "Akshay's larger-than-life villain act in 2.0 [2018] convinced Adi that he would be the perfect fit for the next instalment of Dhoom. The duo has had some meetings, including the first round of narration. The role is of a suave underworld don and is much more nuanced than the villains of the previous editions. If all goes well, Akshay and Aditya will make an announcement by the year-end. Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra may not appear in the fourth part while beauty queen Manushi Chhillar may play the female lead." However now, YRF has issued a clarification over this and denied it completely. The statement reads: “The article “Dhoom to get Khiladi’s touch?” printed in today’s Mid-day is absolutely incorrect and baseless. Dhoom is an extremely important franchise for us but currently we do not have an idea or script for Dhoom 4. We are always available to clarify any and all queries and strongly urge and request you to kindly double check stories with us well in advance for us to be able to provide you with all accurate facts.”  Dhoom 4: Not Abhishek Bachchan, here's the real reason why Salman Khan walked out of the film! The first film in the franchise 'Dhoom', starred John Abraham as the lead antagonist. 'Dhoom 2' starred Hrithik Roshan and Aamir Khan in double role appeared as the lead antagonist in 'Dhoom 3'. Akshay's multi-starrer 'Housefull 4' has released today and clashing with Rajkummar Rao-Mouni Roy's 'Made In China' and Bhumi Pednekar-Taapsee Pannu's 'Saand Ki Aankh' at the Box Office. Akshay's upcoming films include Good Newwz(co-starring Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh & Kiara Advani), 'Sooryavanshi'(with Katrina Kaif), 'Laxmmi Bomb'(Tamil horror comedy remake co-starring Kiara Advani) and Bachchan Pandey.
