Deepika Padukone’s 'Gehraiyaan' Gets An A Certificate Without A Single Cut

The Central Board of Film Certification approved the movie, Gehraiyaan without making a single edit.

New Delhi: Deepika Padukone's new film 'Gehraiyaan', which has been making headlines for its passionate intimate scenes and the bold subject if infdelity, is all set to release on Friday. The film also stars Ananya Panday, Siddhant Chaturvedi and Dhairya Karwa in lead roles, and people have loved the trailer of the movie.

The Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) has approved Gehraiyaan without a single cut. However, ahead of its release on Amazon Prime Video, the film was handed an 'A' certificate by the CBFC.

According to an ETimes report, The Examining Committee (EC), however, requested a few adjustments after viewing Shakun Batra's directorship. The EC's recommendations appear to have been implemented, as the image now bears a 'Adults Only' certificate.

Shakun Batra, on the other hand, says that intimacy has been treated as a character trait.

Deepika Padukone had previously revealed her major takeaway from the film in an exclusive interview with ETimes. She said, "I think the people we have met and the experiences that we‘ve had has been the biggest takeaway from the film. It's not often that we get to work in an environment with like-minded people where everyone understands each other, everyone has a sense of humour, everyone can be self-deprecating, and I think the energy that we had amongst each other, translated into the movie as well".

Deepika's new Instagram post shows the cast singing the song from their movie while posing for the camera. Deepika Padukone captioned the photo, "That's how we roll".

Gehraiyaan, a relationship drama about complicated modern relationships, is co-produced by Dharma Productions and Viacom18 Studios in partnership with Jouska Films. Gehraiyaan will be available on Amazon Prime Video on February 11.
