'Dangal' Actress Zaira Wasim Tweets Joke On Mother, Netizens React Sarcastically

Zaira Wasim, who quit acting last year, shared a rib-tickling joke on hemoglobin on social media.

New Delhi: Former Bollywood actor Zaira Wasim has been the targeted by trolls quite a few times. The Dangal actress quoted  verse from the Quran after the recent locust attacks in various parts of the country and received huge backlash from netizens, who interpreted her post as a justification of the locust attacks. They felt that Zaira was suggesting that the incident is God's way of expressing wrath. Shortly after being deluged with such comments, Zaira Wasim deleted her Twitter and Instagram accounts. However, a section of netizens continue to attack Zaira on her Facebook page, where she put up the same post. The 'Secret Superstar' actress later made a return to social media. Sharing a funny conversation on Sunday, Wasim tweeted, “Me: Mamma I feel my hemoglobin count is low, I could be anaemic. Mother: “Bachpan se jo hamara khoon choos rahi hai woh kahan gaya?”
Twitterati reacted to her joke sarcastically. A user wrote, “This is an anti-national tweet. How can you talk like this about MOTHER india. This is sedition.”
Another user commented, “Wo khoon School ke teacher ne pee lia.”
However, few users found the joke funny. A user wrote, “She has got some point.”
Another user wrote, “Nice one actually.”
Zaira had, on 30 June 2019, announced that she would leave her acting career because it conflicted with her religious beliefs. She was last seen in Shonali Bose's 'The Sky is Pink'. The film also starred Priyanka Chopra and Farhan Akhtar. Watch this space for more updates!
