CarryMinati will make his Bollywood debut with the upcoming film 'Mayday', which is slated to hit the silver screens in 2022.

New Delhi: Ajay Devgn and Amitabh Bachchan are all set to re-unite on the silver screen after seven long years in 'Mayday'. Ajay and Big B were last seen together in Prakash Jha's 'Satyagraha. Their upcoming project has been making waves ever since it was announced. The makers of 'Mayday' have roped in a popular YouTuber to play a social media sensation in the much-awaited film. CarryMinati Makes Acting Debut

CarryMinati, known for his roast videos qnd satirical videos, will be seen playing the role of  social media sensation in the film directed by Ajay Devgn. While the 'Singham star will make his return to direction with 'Mayday', CarryMinati will make his Bollywood debut with the movie. CarryMinati enjoys a significant fan following on YouTube with over 27.5 million subscribers on the platform. He recently teamed up with Salim Merchant for the music video 'Date Karle', which released on November 2. The 21-year-old expressed his excitement on working in 'Mayday. He also revealed the reason why he said yes to the project.

CarryMinati On His Role In Mayday

"Absolutely thrilled and honored to be aligning creative forces with such reputed personalities from the film fraternity. I’m eagerly looking forward to being a part of this brand-new adventure and learning a thing or two about acting while I’m at it. In the past I’ve got offered film roles but I agreed to be a part of this project because I had the opportunity to play myself and bring my alias, Carry Minati alive on the 70 mm screen," Nagar said in a statement. 'MayDay' Release Date

The cast and crew of 'Mayday' have started the shoot for the film from December 11. Ajay Devgn took to social media to announce the release date of 'Mayday'. The film will hit the silver screens on April 29, 2022. "Happy to officially begin MayDay in a start-to-finish shooting schedule. Seek blessings from the Almighty and my parents. Nothing is complete without the support of all my fans, family and well-wishers. Releases on 29th April 2022," the 'Tanhaji' actor tweeted.

Mayday Cast

Rakul Preet and Angira Dhar will be seen in roles in the film. Popular TV actress Akanksha Singh, who was seen in 'Badrinath Ki Dulhania', will play the role of Ajay Devgn's on-screen wife in Mayday.
