Box Office Report: 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' Vs 'Panipat', Which Film WON The Battle On Day 5?
Kartik Aaryan starrer 'Pati Patni Aur Woh' and Arjun Kapoor & Kriti Sanon's 'Panipat' released on December 6.
New Delhi: December is a very crucial time for Bollywood as several high-profile lines are slated to release this month. Rani Mukerji’s ‘Mardaani 2’ will hit the silver screens this week while Salman Khan and Sonakshi Sinha starrer ‘Dabangg 3’ will release on December 20. Akshay Kumar, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Diljit Dosanjh and Kiara Advani’s comedy drama ‘Good Newwz’ will hit the theatres on December 27.
Interestingly, two of the much-awaited films- ‘Panipat’ and ‘Pati Patni Aur Who’ have already released last Friday (December 6). Both the films have managed to receive mixed reviews from the critics.
Kartik Aaryan, Bhumi Pednekar and Ananya Panday starrer ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’, which collected Rs 9.10 crore on its very first day, is doing quite well at the box office. The romantic comedy minted Rs 5.35 crore to take the total box office collection to Rs 46.99 crore. The Mudassar Aziz directorial is expected to enter the Rs 50 crore club on day six.
Bollywood critic and trade analyst Taran Adarsh shared the total business of ‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ on Twitter. “#PatiPatniAurWoh is in no mood to slow down... Will swim past ₹ 50 cr mark today [Day 6]... Fri 9.10 cr, Sat 12.33 cr, Sun 14.51 cr, Mon 5.70 cr, Tue 5.35 cr. Total: ₹ 46.99 cr. #India biz,” he wrote on the micro-blogging site.
Ashutosh Gowariker’s ‘Panipat’, which is based on the third war of Panipat, has held its ground at the box office. The war drama starring Arjun Kapoor, Kriti Sanon and Sanjay Dutt has raked in Rs 2.21 crore on Tuesday. The total box office collection of the movie stands at Rs 22.48 crore.

‘Pati Patni Aur Woh’ is clearly leading at the box office with a good margin while ‘Panipat’ is struggling to gain numbers.
