Amitabh Bachchan, Son Abhishek Test Positive For Coronavirus; Admitted To Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital, Condition Stable

Amitabh Bachchan, 77, was admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital on Saturday evening.

Mumbai: Legendary Hindi film industry actor Amitabh Bachchan tested positive for Coronavirus and has been admitted to Mumbai's Nanavati Hospital. The information was shared by the actor himself after reports of him being taken to hospital came to light. The megastar also informed that his family and staff have undergone Covid-19 test and their results are awaited. "I have tested CoviD positive .. shifted to Hospital .. hospital informing authorities .. family and staff undergone tests , results awaited .. All that have been in close proximity to me in the last 10 days are requested to please get themselves tested !," Amitabh Bachchan tweeted. Dr. Ansari from Nanavati Hospital is handling the case of Amitabh Bachchan and it is being said that his condition is stable. The legendary actor is responding positively to the treatment. The 77-year-old Shahenshah of Bollywood is currently working in Ranbir Kapoor and Aalia Bhatt starrer Brahmastra which is directed by Ayan Mukerji. Bachchan is also working on the 12th edition of popular game show Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). However, owing to government's Covid-19 lockdown rules for senior citizens, he has not been able to resume to work and finish the shooting. Big B was last seen in Shoojit Sircar’s comedy-drama Gulabo Sitabo alongside Ayushmann Khurrana. The film was initially scheduled to be released in theaters, but due to the Coronavirus outbreak which led to closure of PVRs and theaters, it premiered on Amazon Prime Video. In October 2019, Amitabh Bachchan was admitted to the same hospital for a routine check-up and remained there for two days. At that time, reports of Big B having liver problems were doing rounds, but it turned out to be a false claim.
