Akshay Kumar & Priyadarshan Reunite for A Horror Comedy, with Alia Bhatt And Kiara Advani Joining the Cast

New Delhi: Akshay Kumar and Priyadarshan’s 'Bhool Bhualiyaa', 'Hera Pheri', 'Bhagam Bhag', 'Garam Masala' are iconic collaborations that never get too old to revisit. After years of not having worked together, fans are in for a big treat as a possible collaboration between the two is now almost confirmed. Akshay and Priyadarshan's film is expected to be announced on the actor's 57th birthday on September 9, 2024, Mid-Day reported. The report also shared that a motion poster of the new film will be released on the special day and the title will also be revealed.
About the upcoming horror-comedy
The film's genre is said to be horror-comedy and will allegedly go on floors by the end of this year until the first half of 2025.
Major portions of the film will reportedly be shot in Hyderabad, a forest in Kerala, Sri Lanka, with the last leg of schedule in Gujarat next year.
While Akshay Kumar is a confirmed cast member from the film, others are yet to be finalised. As per the same report, Akshay will be seen romancing three female actors in the film, very much similar to the outlay of 'Garam Masala'.
However, the only twist is that the upcoming horror-comedy will revolve around black magic.
Kiara Advani, Keerthy Suresh and Alia Bhatt are rumoured to be a part of the film.

On the other hand, Akshay Kumar is a horror-comedy veteran. He first starred in 'Bhool Bhulaiyaa' directed by Priyadarshan, and the psychological thriller was a big blockbuster with Kumar receiving appreciation for his role in the film.
Most recently, he was seen in 'Stree 2' alongside Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao.
Despite a series of average films, Akshay Kumar will soon be seen in 'Jolly LLB3','Sky Force' and 'Singham Again', all very much-anticipated by his fans.
