Abhinav Kashyap Vs Salman Khan Row: FWICE Secretary Ashok Dubey Supports 'Radhe' Actor, Says Abhinav Should've Approached His Association
Ashok Dubey said that 'Dabangg' director Abhinav Kashyap should have approached IFTDA instead of accusing Salman Khan and his family on social media.
Mumbai: Abhinav Kashyap, who directed ‘Dabangg’, accused Bollywood actors Salman Khan, Arbaaz Khan and Sohail Khan of sabotaging his career. He shared a hard-hitting post on Facebook and alleged that the Khan family tried to control his career by bullying him. Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE) has raised objection to the serious allegations made against Salman and his family.
FWICE secretary Ashok Dubey, while exclusively talking to ABP News, said, “If Abhinav Kashyap had any issues against Salman or any member of his family, he should have registered a complaint with Indian Film & Television Directors’ Association (IFTDA). He shouldn’t have made such serious allegations on social media. Why didn’t Abhinav lodge a complaint in all these years?’’

“IFTDA takes into account the problems faced by the directors and deals with it seriously. FWICE would also look into Abhinav’s matter if he approached us. However, he chose to target Salman and his family on social media,” Dubey added.
Ashok Dubey expressed displeasure over the way Abhinav Kashyap accused the ‘Bharat’ actor and his family. He said, “The allegations look baseless and false.”
He lauded Salman Khan for his financial aid to the members of the association during the COVID-19 crisis. “The Radhe actor transferred money into the accounts of 23,000 workers and technicians during the lockdown, which proves his generosity,” Dubey said.
Sohail Khan has filed a defamation case against Abhinav Kashyap. His brother Arbaaz Khan, while talking to ABP News, said, “Abhinav’s allegations against us are baseless. He is accusing me, Salman, Sohail and our father to tarnish our reputation. We were forced to file a defamation case against him because of his tactics.”
Abhinav Kashyap, who also directed Ranbir Kapoor starrer 'Besharam', wrote a post which read:
"Arbaaz Khan on Dabangg and ever since. So here is my story 10 years after Dabangg. The reason I moved out of making Dabangg 2 ten years ago is that Arbaaz Khan in collusion with Sohail Khan and family was trying to take control of my career by bullying me. because Arbaaz Khan sabotaged my second project with Shree Ashtavinayak Films that I was signed up with by personally calling their head Mr. Raj Mehta and threatening him with dire consequences if they made a film with me. I had to return the signing money to Shree Ashtavinayak films and moved to Viacom Pictures. They did the same thing. Only this time the sabotager was Sohail Khan and he intimidated the then Viacom CEO Vikram Malhotra. My project was sabotaged and I was made to return my signing fee of Rupees 7 Crores plus interest of Ninety odd lacs. Its only then that Reliance Entertainment came to my rescue and we forged an enduring partnership for my film Besharam."
Abhinav Kashyap's post went viral in no time and it grabbed a lot of eyeballs on social media.
