A Strange Spell And A Strange Woman: Doctor Strange Post-Credits Explained
If you have watched the movie already, we are here to explain the two interesting credits from the film. If you have not, there are spoilers ahead.
New Delhi: Like any other Marvel movie, Doctor Strange: Multiverse of Madness also has end credits rolling up to add to the excitement for MCU fans. There are two major ones that are being talked about. If you have watched the movie already, we are here to explain the two interesting credits from the film. If you have not, there are spoilers ahead.
The first one is the ‘pizza poppa’, a street vendor from the initial scenes of the movie who falls on the wrong side of a spell cast by none other than Doctor Stephen Strange. In one of the initial scenes of the film, as Doctor Strange walks into one of the multiverses, he ends up running into a vendor who chews out on Strange and America Chavez. In order to shut him up and move on from there, Strange casts a spell on him leading him to punch himself for weeks.
As the movie comes to an end and the credits roll, the vendor appears again on the screen with a bruised face after punching himself for three weeks and says: “It’s over.” Now the interesting fact here is the vendor is played by none other than Bruce Campbell. The hilarious gesture by Campbell’s character actually signifies that the film is now over. Now what makes Strange to cast such a spell on him, we leave that to you to figure out when you watch it.
The other mysterious thing about the movie that unveils a larger plot and drops hints towards the next movie is the entry of a strange woman, played by Charlize Theron. She comes to Doctor Strange after everything has ended. She enters the scene and says: “You caused an incursion and we're gonna fix it, unless you're afraid.”
Now, obviously, Strange responds to her by saying, “Not in the least.”
He takes out the all-seeing eye of Agamotto, which he received at the film's end after using the Darkhold, and follows her into the portal. So it appears that they are entering the Dark Dimension. Now what is noteworthy here is that it appears that one of the Doctor Stranges from the multiverse has done something of a sort of incursion and our Doctor Strange has to fix it.
However, it is not clear yet who this woman is. So what can be said about this woman is as per the comics, this is Clea who is Dormammu’s niece and a sorceress.
She is rumoured to be a part of the sequel in which Strange could be seen jumping into different dimensions given Clea’s abilities to teleport to other dimensions and locations.
Now, as Clea’s story follows in the comics, she would turn out to be the one whom Doctor Strange would marry and later hand over his eye of Agamotto and levitation cloak to when he would die.
In the meanwhile, they get married in the Dark Dimension but do not stay together for longer as Strange is needed on Earth. When she actually comes to Earth, she loses her abilities as a sorceress and studies in Sanctum Sanctorum to regain them.
