'I Was Like Aaaaaaa': Lehar Khan's Reaction When Shah Rukh Khan Fixed Her Collar On The Sets Of 'Jawan'

In a chat with ABP Live over a video call, Lehar shared the moments she had with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of 'Jawan' and also shared her experience working with Atlee.

New Delhi: Bollywood is gearing up for one of the most anticipated releases starring Shah Rukh Khan, Nayanthara, Deepika Padukone, Sanya Malhotra, and others. 'Jawan,' directed by Atlee, has already sparked interest among audiences since the trailer was released. In the film, we see Shah Rukh Khan in a variety of roles, including one in which he is bald. Apart from them, Leher Khan, who was last seen in 'Brahmastra Part 1: Shiva' will also be there in the film.

In a chat with ABP Live over a video call, Lehar shared the moments she had with Shah Rukh Khan on the sets of 'Jawan' and also shared her experience working with Atlee.

Talking about the memorable moments with Shah Rukh Khan, Lehar said, "There are a lot of them. But one which I love the most is that I was giving my shot and he was with me in it and I was holding a couple of props. It happened that one side of the collar of my top went up a bit and it was not in place. And, I sensed there was something going on on the set regarding that. So, I saw that and before anything, I just saw Shah Rukh Sir taking all the props from me, fixing my collar nicely and then giving all the props back to me and he was like 'Are you okay?'. After this I was like 'Aaaaaa' and on my head it went on like 'He is Shah Rukh Khan, he is so sweet'."

"When he did that, I looked at him and said 'Thank you sir, Thank you so much' and he said 'Come on, just focus on your shot, okay!' So, it was a very comforting experience for me. I felt like it was a nice and safe environment," she further said.

Additionally, Lehar also recalled how Shah Rukh Khan organised a special screening of 'Brahmastra' when they were shooting in Chennai for 'Jawan'.

"It was there when I told him that I am in the film, too, he said yeah? In fact, I remember showing him my 0.5 second shot in the trailer, and remember him taking a screenshot of my shot on the phone and he asked if he should send the picture to me. Even though it sounds like a small conversation, for me it was a journey of three years, where I thought I wouldn't get a chance to meet him, to bagging a film with him. I couldn’t have asked for anything more," Lehar said.

Lehar Khan has appeared in a couple of films previously like 'Parched' and 'Brahmastra', but this was her first one with 'Atlee'. So, she went on to share her experience working with him, saying, "It's amazing. I think he is a verry different sort of a director. His vision is very stylistic. If you see the way the preview and all looks, it's all very engaging to the audience. So, that's soemthing new. I feel like as an actor I understood a lot about style and how visually things work for him and how as an actor we can enhance it a little more. Working with him was very good and I think he is a very sweet and a generous person."

Lastly, Lehar also shared the kind of experience the audience will have from the film and said, "I think the audience will thoroughly enjoy the film. There is a lot to give and as you can see that slowly slowly things are coming out and the craze and wait of every single person in the film, I think it will justify that and it has a lot to give to the audience. Its not just about action, but a lot of other things. So, I think its a full package and everybody is going to be very happy watching it."

'Jawan' is slated to hit the theatres on September 7.
