New Delhi: Instagram influencer and actress Riva Arora is getting a lot of attention on social media but for all the wrong reasons. It all started when the 12-year-old posted a now-deleted reel with Karan Kundrra promoting the latter’s music video ‘Akhiyan’.
The reel shows Riva's character cheating on her boyfriend and meeting Karan Kundrra at a bar. The two are seen holding glasses with liquors filled in them while chatting with one another.
Karan Kundrra was criticised by netizens for romancing a 12-year-old in the reel. People on Twitter also called out the fact that a minor was being sexualised.
Riva had played the role of Vicky Kaushal’s niece in the film ‘URI : The Surgical Strike’ and Twitterati also pointed out the fact the actress is looking way older than her age.
Her parents also came under the fire for allowing Riva to work on such projects.
Slamming her parents a user wrote, "The Riva Arora story is just sad :'( It's so sad how desperate parents are for fame that they're wiling to ruin their kids life so that they can live a life that they never got to live."
Now after Karan Karan Kundrra, Mika has also become a target of the trolls for featuring in a reel with Riva. In the video, Mika is seen dancing and singing with Riva. The reel has left netizens irked.
People started commenting on the video calling it problematic and pointing out the age gap between the two and criticising the singer for making the video.
While some users backed Mika and said his body language looked off while dancing with her. One user wrote, “I noticed this too. His hand is like an inch off her body after that initial touch. He also slides it away quite awkwardly and atleast it looks like he is avoiding to touch her.”
Riva has acted as a child artist in films like 'Uri: The Surgical Strike’, ‘Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl’, ‘MOM’ and ‘Section 375.’
