Kangana Ranaut's Account Suspended: Twitter Erupts With Memes After Actress' Account Gets Blocked

Last year, a writ petition was filed in the Bombay High Court that sought suspension of her Twitter account for “spreading continuous hatred, disharmony in the country and attempting to divide the country with her extremist tweets” according to a website report.

New Delhi: On Tuesday, Kangana Ranaut's account got suspended after she sent out a series of controversial tweets about the West Bengal post-poll violence. Right before her account was suspended, Kangana posted a video of herself in tears talking about the violence in West Bengal.

The video already went viral immediately after which her account was taken down as it is against the regulations of the micro-blogging site. Kangana had also demanded president rule in West Bengal after Mamta Banerjee-led TMC won the recent election in the state, defeating BJP.

Her controversial tweets came under scrutiny from netizens for quite sometime. She became widely active on social media after the actor Sushant Singh Rajput's suicide, later her tweets became increasingly political and recently they were about the Covid situation but suddenly shifted to the West Bengal elections.
