'I Take A Gut Call': Kartik Aaryan Says There Is No ‘Secret Formula’ To His Success

'Shehzada' actor Kartik Aaryan discussed his criteria for selecting movies in a recent interview.

New Delhi: Kartik Aaryan is, without a question, one of Bollywood's top talents at the moment. Though Kartik Aaryan's popularity has been growing for some time, it skyrocketed last year with his performance in the critically acclaimed horror-comedy ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 2’. The fact that it did well at the box office after the epidemic when no other Hindi films were doing well, is more impressive.

Kartik's upcoming film ‘Shehzada’ is slated for release this week, and he is in the midst of final promotions. Meanwhile, the actor discussed his criteria for selecting movies in a recent interview with ETimes.

Kartik Aaryan said that he relies only on his "gut feeling" while deciding which movies to sign. Although the string of accomplishments may seem unbelievable, he stressed that there is no "secret" to success. The actor said in an interview with ETimes: "It sometimes feels unreal but there is no secret formula to it, for me it has only been self-belief and hardwork. There are honestly no shortcuts or strategies. I take a gut call on my films as per what I would like to watch as the audience, I work hard and try to deliver the best I can and then hope and pray that audiences accept it and give it love."

Kartik Aaryan is eager to return to the big screen in the next Rohit Dhawan comedy-drama ‘Shehzada’ opposite his 'Lukka Chhupi' co-star Kriti Sanon. The film is a remake of the Telugu film 'Ala Vaikunthapurramaloo' starring Allu Arjun and Pooja Hegde in the original.

Besides ‘Shehzada’, Kartik also has ‘Satyaprem Ki Katha’ lined up for this year, and will also be seen in the 3rd installment of ‘Aashiqui’. He also has Kabir Khan's untitled story in his kitty.
