Leaked Fantastic Four Post-Credit Scene Sets Stage For Doctor Doom In Avengers: Doomsday

A leaked post-credit scene from The Fantastic Four: First Steps confirms Doctor Doom's chilling debut, setting up his role in Avengers: Doomsday and teasing a major showdown to come.

It appears chaos has erupted at Marvel Studios once again, and this time, it’s not just due to fan speculation. A major leak has surfaced online revealing the post-credit scene of 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps', and it’s a game-changer. With 'Avengers: Doomsday' looming, this leak confirms what many fans had suspected, and Marvel may not be thrilled about how early the secret got out.

Fantastic Four: First Steps Post-Credit Scene Leaks Online

The studio, which has been working to regain its footing following a series of turbulent projects since 'Avengers: Endgame', is inching closer to its next big ensemble blockbuster. But now, thanks to this leak, fans have an unexpected preview of what’s to come—particularly the long-anticipated debut of Doctor Doom.

Based on previous teasers, plot leaks, and online theories, it was already expected that the Fantastic Four would play a pivotal role in Doomsday. The leaked post-credit scene now cements that connection. In the sequence, Sue Storm is seen reading a bedtime story to her baby, Franklin Richards. She asks H.E.R.B.I.E. to fetch her son's favorite book, and as she turns the pages, something eerie unfolds—Sue notices a cloaked figure beside Franklin. It’s Doctor Doom, silently holding her child. Her attempt to use her powers fails, and the camera closes in on Franklin clutching Doom’s iconic mask. The moment fades with the words: “The Fantastic Four will return in Avengers: Doomsday.”

Franklin Richards’ powers teased in dramatic reveal

Interestingly, this scene wasn’t directed by First Steps helmer Matt Shakman. Instead, it was filmed by none other than Joe and Anthony Russo, the directors behind Avengers: Doomsday. Shakman previously hinted at this in a conversation with ComicBook, saying, “I often think of working at Marvel as like running a relay race. You pass the baton, you run as hard and fast as you can with it for that section of the race that belongs to you, and then you pass that baton. I passed it on to Joe and Anthony, and they’re off and running, and that’s great.”

While the scene has thrilled fans, it also raises major questions about Franklin Richards. In Marvel Comics lore, Franklin is a powerful omega-level mutant—one so strong that he once turned Galactus into his own personal herald. Could Marvel be gearing up to introduce the mutant angle once again through Franklin?

With 'Avengers: Doomsday' expected to bring together characters from across the multiverse, this crossover of the 'Fantastic Four' and 'Doctor Doom' sets the stage for what could be one of the most ambitious Marvel stories yet. 'The Fantastic Four: First Steps', starring Pedro Pascal, Vanessa Kirby, Ebon Moss-Bachrach, and Joseph Quinn, hits theatres on July 25.
