New Delhi: Veteran actress and politician Hema Malini shared a heartwarming post about her 42nd wedding anniversary. 

Hema Malini shared a picture with actor and husband Dharmendra on her official Instagram handle. In the picture, she can be seen in a beige coloured saree and Dharmedra can be seen in a classic white shirt. She captioned her post, "Our wedding anniversary today I thank God for all these years of happiness, our darling children and grandchildren, our well-wishers everywhere! I feel truly blessed".

Hema ji's post received many likes and comments from fans and fellow members of the industry. In fact, fans on microblogging site Twitter have been trending the couple by sharing heartfelt messages for them.

Hema Malini and Dharmendra got married in 1980. Interestigly, the two had to convert to Islam to get married as Dharmendra's first wife refused to divorce him. The couple tied the knot in a secret ceremony at Khandaala. Malini and Dharmendra have two children, Esha Deol and Ahana Deol. 

Dharmendra also has two children from his previous marriage; Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol, both of whom are also actors in Bollywood.

Meanwhile, Dharmendra was recently admitted to the hospital due to a muscle pull last week. After his recovery, he shared a video on his Instagram handle, giving fans his health update. He captioned it, "Friends, don't overdo things ...know your limits.., i did it and learned my lesson".
