Glance LIVE Fest From June 3-5: How Fans Got Rajkummar Rao To Be Part Of It

The stage is all set for the first edition of Glance Live Fest that will be held from June 3 to 5. It will be streamed on lock screen platform Glance and Roposo, a video-sharing social media service.

New Delhi: Lock screen platform Glance is bringing the Glance Live Fest (GLF) from June 3 to 5, which will be an interactive digital carnival of live experiences. Users will be able to enjoy sessions and transactional content with celebrities and content creators during the three-day fest. The first edition of GLF will be streamed on Glance and Roposo.

While many eagerly await for the GLF to kickstart, fans decided to bring in their favourite Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao to Glance Live Fest in their own style. It all started when Piyush Shah, Co-founder of InMobi Group and President and COO of Glance, shared a post on LinkedIn announcing GLF and cheekily said: "Sorry Rajkummar Rao - huge fan of your films but we can’t have you over this time."

As soon as Piyush posted the message, multiple requests started coming in from fans to bring Rajkummar Rao to the fest, and they also started trending #Ladooprotest on various social media platforms.

The stunt by fans was not only limited to social media platforms, as they sent trucks full of 'ladoos' to the Glance office in Bengaluru for employees and Rohan Choudhary, VP and GM, Glance Feed, asking their favourite star to be part of the Glance Live Fest.

This viral #Ladooprotest trend and gesture was also noticed by Rajkummar Rao, who ultimately also showed interest in being part of GLF and the organisers also put their hands down, bowing to fans.       

Now, during the GLF, users will decide challenges for Bollywood star Rajkummar Rao in real-time through a live poll and watch as he races to complete those.
