Gigi Hadid Says It Was Her 'Honor' To Wear Chikankari Saree By Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Thanks Ambanis For Hosting Her
Former Victoria's Secret model Gigi Hadid thanked designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla for the chikankari saree and jewelled blouse she wore on the second day of NMACC grand opening.
New Delhi: Former Victoria's Secret model Gigi Hadid attended the grand launch of the Nita Mukesh Ambani Cultural Centre (NMACC) in Mumbai over the weekend. The supermodel wore a Chikankari saree and a jewelled blouse by designer duo Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla on the second day of the grand event.
Gigi took to Instagram to praise the two designers. She also gave credit to the women artisans who worked on the look.
Posting a series of pictures of her look, Gigi wrote, “The @nmacc.india Gala was a celebration of Indian craftsmanship, and its inspiration on fashion internationally, with the opening of the exhibit “India in Fashion: The Impact of Indian Dress and Textiles on the Fashionable Imagination,” curated by the iconic @hamishbowles! It was my honor and joy to showcase this masterpiece designed by @abujanisandeepkhosla 🙏 this Chikankari sari was made in the Lucknow region of India, and took a year to make; each woman who crafted it specializes in a differently stitch 🤩 truly remarkable workmanship .. I’ll never forget it 💫”

Gigi’s Chikankari saree featured gold patti borders and a thigh-high slit. It was paired with a heavily embellished gold blouse featuring gilded shoulders and a plunging neckline. She completed her look with gold bracelets, statement rings, earrings. She opted for a sleek bun.
Gigi also thanked the Ambanis for inviting her to India and making it her "unforgettable first trip" to the country. She posted a series of pictures from her Indian trip and the event and wrote, “Warmest Thanks to the Ambani family for hosting me in Mumbai for the Opening Weekend of @nmacc.india!
