Director SS Rajamouli’s 'RRR' bagged nominations for the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. As soon as the news was out, the audience and celebs started celebrating the achievement of the film.

New Delhi: Director SS Rajamouli’s 'RRR' bagged nominations for the 2023 Golden Globe Awards. The action-drama has received nominations in two categories: Best Foreign Film and Best Original Song. The popular song from the movie, ‘Naatu Naatu’, has been nominated in the latter category. 

As soon as the news of the nomination was out, the audience and celebs started celebrating the achievement of the film. Karan Johar, Prabhas, Alia Bhatt, Jr NTR, and others took to their social media to celebrate the film’s nomination. 

Prabhas, who has worked with Rajamouli in the superhit Baahubali franchise, took to Instagram to congratulate the team of RRR. He wrote, “The greatest @ssrajamouli garu is going to conquer the world. Congratulations for winning the prestigious New York Film Critics Circle Award for the best director & bagging the LA Film Critics Awards for best director (runner up). Huge Congratulations to legendary Keeravaani garu for receiving the LA Film Critics Awards for best music director.” 

In another post, he wrote, “Feeling so proud as #RRR gets nominated for the #GoldenGlobes Awards. Hearty congratulations to @ssrajamouli garu, @jrntr, @alwaysramcharan and the entire team of @rrrmovie for this achievement.” 

Karan Johar took to his Instagram Stories to react to the news. He wrote, “Go team RRR #GoldenGlobes. This is just incredible and beginning of amazement ahead.”

Jr NTR, who was one of the protagonists of the film along with Ram Charan, tweeted, "Delighted that #RRRMovie has been nominated in two categories at the Golden Globe Awards! Congratulations to all of us... Looking forward." 

Sharing the news, Alia Bhatt posted heart emojis.

Shekhar Kapur tweeted, “The path to the Oscars for RRR becomes clearer. But I still don’t get why the Golden Globes hold on to a category called ‘Best film in a non English language?? RRR deserves to be in the best film category. Period. Congratulations @ssrajamouli.”  

AR Rahman wished good luck to the RRR team in reaction to Shekhar Kapur’s tweet. He wrote, “Good luck to the RRR team.” 

Soon after the announcement, SS Rajamouli wrote on Twitter, "Thanks to the jury at @goldenglobes for nominating #RRRMovie in two categories. Congratulations to the entire team… Thanks to all the fans and audience for your unconditional love and support through out." 

Filmmaker Vivek Agnihotri also extended his heartfelt congratulations to the team. He tweeted, "Congratulations to my all time favourite showman director 
@ssrajamouli, his father Vijayendra Garu, @AlwaysRamCharan @tarak9999 for nominations in #GoldenGlobes2023. A great day for Indian cinema.”

The pan-India hit movie 'RRR', which is based on the lives of real-life rebels Komaram Bheem and Alluri Sitarama Raju, has gained popularity among audiences worldwide and made new records at the box-office.
