Director Rajkumar Santoshi has been sentenced to two years imprisonment by a Jamnagar court.

The case pertained to cheque bouncing. Ashok Lal, a resident of Jamnagar and the owner of Shreeji Shipping, had given one crore to Rajkumar Santoshi to make a film in 2015.

In the 2024 release of ‘Pushpa 2: The Rule’, Allu Arjun will reprise his role as Pushpa. Allu Arjun has revealed that a series centred around his character is in the works, with one more movie planned, amidst the frenzy surrounding the impending sequel. 

During the present Berlin International Film Festival, Allu Arjun stated to Variety that "we do want to make it a franchise" in reference to Pushpa.
