tWitch From 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show' Dies By Suicide At 40, Ellen Pens Heartwarming Note

Stephen Boss, popularly known as 'tWitch' on the famous American talk-show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, has reportedly died by suicide.

New Delhi: Stephen Boss, popularly known as 'tWitch' on the famous American talk-show hosted by Ellen DeGeneres, has reportedly died by suicide. He was one of the integral characters on 'The Ellen DeGeneres Show'.

The news comes as a shock for all his fans, who have been expressing their grief and disbelief over the sad news.

Stephen Boss joined Ellen's talk show as a guest DJ in 2014. He eventually became a permanent part of the show, also becoming a co-executive producer in 2020.

Expressing grief over the loss of an amazing talent and a co-worker, host Ellen DeGeneres of 'The Ellen Show', penned an emotional note for tWitch.

Sharing an endearing picture with him, she wrote, "I’m heartbroken. tWitch was pure love and light. He was my family, and I loved him with all my heart. I will miss him. Please send your love and support to Allison and his beautiful children - Weslie, Maddox, and Zaia."

As soon as Ellen broke the news of Stephen's death, fans and popular celebrities rushed to the comments section of the post to extend their condolences.

Ellie Kemper wrote, "Sending much love. He was such a kind person. ❤️❤️❤️"

Brooke Karzen commented, "I am heartbroken. tWitch brought love and light into this world. Sending prayers to Allison and their children."

One user expressed her disbelief over the news and wrote, "This doesn’t sit right with me. He just posted dancing with his wife, their anniversary, even just posted his happy and well grandfather. I’m not saying social media is real and believable, but I have a hard time believing this man had such extreme mental health issues that suicide days after celebrating 9 years and right before Christmas with his kids was his go-to. He very much seemed like a happy and grateful for life and family person, so this is so odd. And on top of that, the hotel was less than a mile from his house and no one heard a gunshot??? And he wasn’t found until later the next morning? I don’t want to speculate, but no. Nope. Don’t sit right with me."

Stephen Boss rose to fame with MTV's 'The Wade Robson Project' and became a runner-up in 'Star Search'. He also participated in the dance reality show 'So You Think You Can Dance' in 2008.
