Salman Khan Struggles To Get Up From Sofa In Viral Video, Emotional Fans Say 'Legend Is Getting Old'

In a viral video, Salman Khan, known for his age-defying charm, is seen struggling to get up from a sofa at an event as he tries to get up to meet fellow actor Sonali Bendre.

Salman Khan viral video: When fans idolise their favourite stars, they often forget that they're human too. Fans elevate them to superhuman status, expecting them to defy the limitations of mortality, including aging. But when reality sets in and their idols show signs of aging, fans can be thrown into a state of disbelief. A similar thing happened when a video of Salman Khan from an event was posted by a paparazzo account.

In the viral video, the 58-year-old actor, known for his age-defying charm, is seen struggling to get up from a sofa at an event as he tries to get up to meet fellow actor Sonali Bendre. The actor finally gets up after a bit of struggle and then greets and hugs Sonali Bendre.

Netizens' react

The video sparked an outpouring of emotions from fans, who took to social media to comment on the video after watching their “Bhaijaan getting old.” 

Some users commented on the impermanence of youth, saying, “Our childhood favourites are becoming ageing...so are we! A reminder that nothing remains forever..” 

“Legend is getting old 😢,” read another comment.  

Others expressed sadness at seeing their hero grow older, with one fan writing, "Feels sad to see your fav hero getting older..such an amazing person he is god bless him."  

“Salman bhai se utha ni jarha😢,” commented a fan. 

A few attempted to deflect attention from Salman's struggle, joking that the sofa was too soft to sit and stand up from. “May be sofa is too soft to sit and stand up because of this…,” read a comment. 

On the work front

Meanwhile, Salman Khan’s first film as a hero 'Maine Pyaar Kiya' was re-released in theatres on August 23. The actor has a couple of projects lined up including ‘Sikandar’, directed by acclaimed filmmaker AR Murugadoss and also starring Rashmika Mandanna. The film’s shooting started on June 18, 2024. He will also reportedly star in director Atlee’s next project. 

Salman will also be seen on our television screen in October as he will be hosting the 18th season of the reality show 'Bigg Boss'.
